Who we are

About Yah Suh Nyce

Yah Suh Nyce started with one promise: feed Queens the way home feeds you. Real pimento smoke, scotch bonnet heat, and recipes carried straight from the islands — no shortcuts, no watering down for anybody.

Our jerk hits the grill low and slow until the bark is smoky and the inside stays juicy. The oxtail simmers for hours until it surrenders off the bone. The lamb chops get that garlic-butter finish folks drive across boroughs for.

If it nuh smoky, spicy, and piled high — it nuh leave our kitchen.

The oxtail is unreal — falls right off the bone and the gravy is rich enough to drink. I order it every single Friday and it never lets me down.

Those garlic-butter lamb chops are worth every penny. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and they gave me four big ones. I've stopped ordering lamb anywhere else.

G

Danielle R. · Springfield Gardens, NY

Portions are MASSIVE. One curry goat plate fed me and my husband with rice and peas left over. Tender, spicy, full of flavor — and the price is honest.

G

Keisha B. · St. Albans, NY

Best jerk chicken in the area, hands down. Real smoke, real heat, that proper char on the outside. The festival and fried plantains seal the deal.

G

Andre M. · Hollis, Queens

Catered our family reunion and everyone raved. The by-the-pound buffet meant we got exactly what we needed, the food stayed hot, and it was an incredible value.

Catering, repasses, graduations, offices

50 people, fed, for $950.

That is a real repass build, not a bracket. 16 pounds of jerk chicken, 7 of curry goat, 5 of braised oxtail, rice and peas for 55, cabbage and festival beside it. Priced off the same pound prices this site charges for one plate, and published line by line at 50, 75, 100 and 150 guests so you can check the arithmetic before you call anybody.

No event markup. Chafing trays and sterno are already inside that number so it is still hot an hour in, and tax, delivery and disposables are listed separately instead of turning up at the end. Ask the caterer your family used last time for the same page.

  • Repasts, graduations, church halls, offices
  • Twelve guests or a hundred and fifty, same pound price
  • Prices published, not quoted on request

Arranging a repass? The repass page has the whole ladder and the 48 hour promise.
